Getting Spoiled by the Signs and Wonders of The Holy Spirit

j0438983I have been spending the day reading blogs, commentaries, and micro-blog posts about people’s experience of Jesus. I am a bit saddened that believers are not experiencing the signs and wonders that accompany the Truth of the Word of God (Mark 16:17). We are to be the healers who Jesus heals through. We are to be the deliverers who Jesus delivers all who are His from evil and the works of Satan in our lives.

Every believer should have stories of all of those who God used them to heal, deliver and set free. Yet, when was the last time God was able to use the majority of us for those purposes?

Don’t get me wrong, I think that God using us to lead people to salvation and learning to love Him is absolutely awesome! Yet, people are coming to churches all over with walkers, crutches, pains, aches, sickness, emotional trauma, and the strongholds of the world running rampant in their lives. They are leaving with the same issues they came in with.

We are falling so short of the greater works (John 14:12) that it truly burdens me. I have to be careful that the wonders of God that I get to witness on a daily and weekly basis don’t spoil me. I have even said that unless the presence of  The Holy Spirit is so strong in a place that if someone were to come in with an eye missing, God would grow them an eye.

These signs and wonders and even greater are opening up as I write this. I asked my Apostle what it takes for The Holy Spirit to move in this way without fail. He told me that His Spirit always accompanies the absolute Truth of scripture.

As I boldly ask God to reveal the mysteries of His Word to me, I teach them and have witnessed bodies healed, hearts healed from years of abuse and neglect, and deliverance from stronghold spirits. I wish the same thing for every believer.

This entry is about challenging you to stretch your mind to the higher things of God. We must get beyond commentary of the Word and truly teach believers how to move in the things of The Holy Spirit. God is releasing something that we have never seen before in the history of the world.

I will be most careful not to allow the signs of wonders of God to spoil me so I can remain absolutely open to however The Holy Spirit chooses to move.
